Original black cloth panelled in blind, with onlaid pictorial plate to upper board, spine lettered gilt, top edges olivine, others deckled, pictorial endpapers, in buff dustwrapper with pictorial plate to upper panel; pp. xii + 409; illustrated with 14 fine coloured plates together with chapter-headings in line; a very good, clean copy, both internally and externally near fine; the unclipped dustwrapper ($2.50) a little tanned, upper joint fold split, without loss, and skilfully reattached with archival tissue tape to the reverse, some short tears to folds, small nicking,, narrow (5mm) loss to spine head and a chip to tail; scarce in dustwrapper.
