First edition. The proverbs are in Arabic and English; the translations were provided by Shereef 'Abd-es-Salaam El-Baqqali. The Finish philosopher and sociologist Edvard Westermarck tought at the time at LSE. His anti-Christian teachings had prepared him well for several field trips to Morocco, where he observed life without much prejudice.
