WANLESS, Alexander. Threadline Angling. London, Herbert Jenkins, 1933.
8vo. Original blue cloth, with red and black printed dust wrapper; pp. 180; a little sunned to spine, but otherwise a good copy, not price-clipped.
First Edition. Guidance on the somewhat alternative method of 'threadline' angling, as opposed to the more conventional 'dry fly' technique. Though something of a pariah in the community, Wanless forged ahead in his research, which did indeed prove fruitful. He wrote several books on the subject, all of which note his continued progress and the ever increasing efficacy of his craft.
