Original gilt card covers with lavishly decorated metallic green card wrapper printed in gilt and black with onlaid pictorial card label to upper cover, decorated free endpapers; pp. [16], printed on variously coloured laid, and hand-made, card; the text throughout printed in sepia from the original calligraphic hand with accompanying beautiful line drawings and a total of 8 fine mounted coloured plates printed on card and surrounded by elaborately decorated borders printed in gilt and black; a fine copy.
Second printing, 2008; first published the previous year. This copy is neatly signed in ink by the illustrator to the title-page, in his fine calligraphic hand, to the half-title.
