A Night To Remember is the definitive account retelling the sinking of the RMS Titanic, by historian and self-professed Titanic obsessive Walter Lord. In preparation for this book, which was a smash hit worldwide and remains in print to this day, Lord interviewed 63 survivors of the disaster, as well as consulting an array of diaries, articles and correspondence. A film based on the book was released in 1958. Lord also served as a consultant to Canadian film director James Cameron while he was making his film Titanic in 1997.
