STRUGATSKY, Arkady & Boris Noon: 22nd Century New York, Macmillan, 1978.
8vo. Original brown cloth over orange paper covered boards, with printed dust wrapper; pp. xvi, 319; a very good copy with a little fading along the top edge.
First US edition. An episodic novel, sometimes considered a "fix-up" as parts of it had previously appeared by themselves in other publications. This is the book after which the Strugatsky Noon Universe was coined by fans. The sections of the book describe life in the 22nd century - they are not directly connected, but share characters.
The Strugatsky Brothers, Arkady and Boris, published many highly acclaimed works of science fiction, mostly in the latter half of the 20th century. Though the works were largely printed in Russian originally, many were later translated into English, German, French and Italian.
