Stearns Bicycle Agency in Syracuse, New York, the design of the wrappers playing on Beardsley’s illustrations for \u003ci\u003eThe Yellow Book\u003c\/i\u003e.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStearns bicycles, with their distinctive yellow frames, were known as ‘Yellow Fellows’. The agency had been established by industrialist Edward Carl Stearns in 1893. By the time this catalogue was published, the company had factories in Syracuse and Toronto as well as branches in Buffalo and San Francisco. E.C.
