The South Polar Times, a cornerstone of any Antarctic exploration collection, reproduced in exact facsimile the magazines issued during Scott's three Antarctic expeditions and edited for publication after the expeditions' return. Sets of the original now command in excess of ú15,000. The present edition, issued for the Centenary of Scott's first Antarctic expedition, offers a faithful facsimile of the original set, a particularly extraordinary feat in view of the high numbers of chromolithographed leaves and illustrated nature of the original sets. Rarely offered together with the fourth volume covering the period of Scott's last expedition.
