RUSSELL, Bertrand. Human Knowledge. London: George Allen and Unwin Ltd., 1948.
8vo., original green publisher's cloth, gilt direct to spine; upper edge green original printed dust wrapper (18s. Net) with map to verso showing Kotatengah ; pp. 538, [ii. Ads.]; a lovely copy, with marginal spotting to edges and offsetting to paste-downs; previous ownership inscription to ffep; jacket with some light spotting and browning to edges; small nicks and closed tears to head and foot; very good.
This book was written by Russell to introduce and explain ideas of epistemology to the general reader. The map on the verso of the wrapper is characteristic of books printed at the time; paper post-war was in short supply and so was often recycled into dust jackets.
