RACKHAM, Arthur (illustrator). The Bros. GRIMM (authors). Little Brother & Little Sister & Other Tales By The Bros. Grimm. London, Constable & Co. Ltd. 1917.

4to. Original light green cloth gilt, with gilt vignette to upper cover, decorated endpapers, top edges green and others untrimme; pp. xi + 250, largely unopened; with 12 mounted coloured plates by Rackham mounted on heavier stock behind loose tissue-guards, as issued, and drawings in line decorating the text; an exceptionally fresh and bright copy of this scarce title; externally fine, internally clean throughout with previous owner's handsome bookplate to inner upper cover and the usual offset-toning to endpapers, internally fine bar only one very short, and barely noticeable, crease to inner corner of one plate; all loose guards, unusually, present.
First edition illustrated by Arthur Rackham. This volume of fairy tales in one of the scarcest of Rackham's trade editions and invariably has creased plates because the tipped-in images have a propensity to curl up at the lower corners.
