It also fixed the volume structure of the \u003ci\u003eRecherche\u003c\/i\u003e that has since become standard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMost significantly, the sections originally published as \u003ci\u003eSodome et Gomorrhe I\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eII\u003c\/i\u003e were reorganised into a single volume divided into two parts, while the former third section became simply \u003ci\u003eLa Prisonnière\u003c\/i\u003e. According to the publisher, this arrangement reflected a division that Proust himself had intended for the first edition of the work.
