Very rare pirated edition published in the year of the first (Berlin) of a refutation of the theory that the Chinese civilization descended from the ancient Egyptian. Corneille de Pauw was one of the most learned intellectuals King Frederick of Prussia tried to affiliate with his court. He produced with this title a thorough comparative study of two civilisations, covering all aspects, from belief systems to law, architecture, the arts, technology and the political system. The map of Egypt shows the 'Great Wall' north of the Red Sea.
