Slim 4to.; publisher's oatmeal wide-weave cloth with small onlaid pictorial label to upper cover and lettering-label to spine; pp. [48]; printed throughout on fine hand-made paper; with illustrated title-page and wood-engraved illustrations throughout, one for every rhyme; a very good copy indeed with only light external rubbing, internally fine, without ownership marks or inscriptions.
First edition, limited to only 300 copies printed by Robert Grabhorn and Andrew Hoyem "in the summer of 1970", offered for sale at the Press, 566 Commercial Street, San Francisco. A range of favourite verses are collected here including, "Miss Muffett"; "Hush-A-Bye"; "Mary, Mary quite contrary"; "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall"; "Pussycat", and "Georgy Porgy pudding and pie".
