Fist edition. Charles Marvin was one of the most prolific traveller's in, and writers on Central Asia. He was able to get acces to high-ranking Russian officials. His books are cornerstones of Great Game collection and this particular one is a good summary and analysis of the Russian advance towards India, and highly illustrated.
