Marin (1697-1767) joined the Order of Minims in 1714, and was the author of multiple moral works on for young women, including \u003ci\u003eLa Parfaite religieuse\u003c\/i\u003e (1752), Virginie, ou la vierge Chretienne (1752), \u003ci\u003eAgnes de Saint-Amour, ou la fervente novice\u003c\/i\u003e (1762), and \u003ci\u003eFarfalla\u003c\/i\u003e, ou \u003ci\u003ela commedienne convertie\u003c\/i\u003e (1762).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe striking central panel to the upper board is a rendering of Raphael’s Madonna della Seggiola.
