First edition, published during the Second World War, this wonderful guide to the Princes' Island, Adalar, the old Greek settlement just south of the Asian side of Istanbul. In 1909 the Swiss born scholar and specialist of Byzantine history had became a professor of French language and literature at Galatasaray High School in Constantinople (Istanbul).
