Oblong small 4to. Original cloth-backed boards, front cover printed in red; pp. 129, ; highly illustrated after photographs, printed on heavy glossy paper, binding a little spotted and with light wear, foxing to endpapers, internally very clean and fresh.
The main focus of this very rare publication is on the more recent projects finished by the company and most buildings are located in Greater London, such as Masonic Hall (9 images), North Middlesex Hospital, banks, schools, town halls and other municipal buildings, a Mayfair luxury tenement block, Metropolitan Water Board in Roseberry Avenue, Peabody buildings in Vauxhall, Odeon Cinemas in Muswell Hill and Isleworth. A printed note at the end of the volume reads 'As this publication is issued in wartime, illustrations of many important Governemnt contracts must be withheld, including the new Royal Ordnance Factory for H.M. Office of Works, and a number of R.A.F. Aerodromes' (p. 127). - Empty pocket strip inside front cover (removed from lower cover). Due to the rarity we were not able to establish what they meant to contain or whether they were added later.
The only other copies we were able to locate via COPAC are in Bishopsgate Library and in the Historic England Library.
