The former tank commander, strategist and military historian Liddell-Hart had published this book first in 1929, and worked on many revised editions later on, all of which are rather uncommon. This edition is revised again and deals for the first time with guerilla warfare and the latest development of weapons of mass destruction. As someone who knew and admired TEL, he devoted several passages to TEL's strategy of and approach to irregular warfare on the Arabian peninsula.
See O'Brien F0651 and F0651a (1954 and 1946 edition, respectively, only; this edition with more TEL entries listed in the index).
