A classic first-hand account of life in British North Borneo (now Sabah), written by a talented Californian lady, who accompanied her Nglish husband, who worked for the government of Borneo. The title of the book is a phrase used by sailors for this particular stretch of coast and is the unofficial motto of modern Sabah.
