Paget alongside 8 plans and maps; a good copy with some rubbing to joints, fading to spine, and a few pale marks to covers, internally generally good and clean with a neat ownership inscription, dated 1897, to front free endpaper and a bookplate to pastedown, with about 8 forecorners neatly excised, to differing dimensions, narrow loss to fore-edge of one text leaf, and occasional small marks.
First edition, first issue, the publisher's catalogue with no mention of titles with the publication date of 1898. An account of the heroic struggle of the relatively small and beleaguered Prussian state against the combined forces of Russia, Austria, France and much of Germany in the Seven Years' War.
