Provenance: bookplate of C.H. Waterland Mander, clerk of the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers and book collector, to front pastedown.
No. 31 of limited edition of 150 on handmade paper. This skilful period-style abridgement of Gerard's great work is based on Thomas Johnson's revised 1636 edition which corrected many of the errors of the first printing.
