EVANS, E.R.G.R., Admiral Lord Mountevans. Adventurous Life. London, Hutchinson, .
Royal 8vo. Original cloth in dust-wrapper; pp. 259; frontispiece and plates after photographs; minor wear to extremities of wrapper, else a very good copy.
First edition. 'Evans served as second officer aboard the relief ship Morning (1902-4) during Scott's Discovery expedition. His narrative of the ship's two voyages (pp. 41-74), which contains extracts from his diary, is an important compliment to Doorly's The Voyages of the 'Morning'' (Rosove). The book in good condition, even more so with the colourful dust-jacket, has become very rare.
Spence 434; Renard 502; Rosove 118.A1 ('uncommon').
