First edition, second printing. An account of the Mesopotamian campaign which includes an extensive description of the Battle of Dujaila, the taking of Baghdad, and the fall of Kut, written by an embedded journalist and travel writer, who was rather critical of the 'civilizing' effect of the British Empire.
