Empress of Britain was the largest, fastest, and most luxurious ship between England and Canada, designed in 1928. In winter, when the St. Lawrence river was frozen she was regularly fitted out as a cruise ship, able to carry 700 passengers. The ship was attacked by German bombers in 1940 and sank. The ship was destined to be for five hole days in Port Said, and various excursions were on offer. - Unrecorded.
