In Astarte, Ralph Milbanke, second earl of Lovelace (1839-1906), Byron's grandson, presents the case against his grandfather in his relationship with Augusta Leigh (Byron's half-sister). Originally privately published in 1905 Milbanke's second wife, Mary, brought out this public edition of Astarte in 1921 which included many additional letters.
