Small 8vo. Early 18th-century flexible vellum, lettered in ink cursive; ff. [iv], 108, printer's woodcut device on title; vellum a little spotted, title-page and final page a little dusted, apart from one page with minor spots, very clean, crisp and fresh.
Second edition (first 1526) of this history of the Duchy of Brabant in Belgium, from Pippin II (Charlemagne's son) up to the turmoil caused by the Reformation and the Peasant's War in neighbouring Germany, written by a Humanist school teacher from Leuven, handsomely printed and bound. The front cover was lettered at the time of binding, the spine in the 19th century for a book collector, with his initials GV [?] on the front cover.
