Ms Bairacly Levy of Turkish-Jewish and Egyption descent is considered the mother of holisic veterinary medicine, was a keen herbalist, lived with the Romani community of England and travelled a lot. Her herbals for pets and farm animals were translated into French and German. In this book she recounts rural life with her young children around Lake Tiberias (Sea of Galilee, Kinnereth) in Northern Israel. She had close contact with both Jews and Bedouin, and describes rural life in loving detail.
