First edition. Ms Bairacly Levy of Turkish-Jewish and Egyption descent is considered the mother of holisic veterinary medicine, was a keen herbalist, lived with the Romani community of England and travelled a lot. Her herbals for pets and farm animals were translated into French and German. She had close contact with both Jews and Bedouin, and describes rural life in loving detail.
