Original flexible cloth, ornamented in blind, lettered in gilt, marbled edges; pp. lxii, 517; with 40 maps, 67 plans and 12 architectural diagrams, some of which are folding or double-page size; cloth a bit darkened and spotted in places, a few pages with light crinkling to corners, nonetheless a very good copy with contemporary Aachen bookseller's label inside front cover.
This is the last German-language edition of this guide book, for the first time incorporating much new material and maps on Central Asia, Eastern Siberia and the Baltic provinces. The author was actually Ferdinand Moll, co-editor of the publishing house Baedeker, prolific author and compiler of topographical data.
