The hotel was located on a one hectare park on Boulevard de Cimiez. The hotel was owned by the Compagnie Internationale des Wagon-Lits (CIWL).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBy the 1920's Nice had become very popular not just as a Winter resort but also a Summer destination. CIWL had introduced the Calais-Mediterranee Express (Blue train) in 1886 which carried most of the wealthy customers staying at the various palace hotels. After the second World War the hotel was converted to apartments.
