After bankruptcy in 1867 it was purchased by Thomas Ismay in 1868, refocusing on premium transatlantic steamship service and partnering with Harland and Wolff shipyard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFamous for the Olympic class liners, Olympic, Titanic and Brittanic the company merged with its rival Cunard line in 1934.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis label was collected when sailing on RMS Olympic from New York to Cherbourg in May 1929. A further label was given to those passengers continuing to Paris.
