Cannes along with other resorts on the Cote D'Azure was becoming an ever popular resort for tourists seeking a warmer Winter climate.
The artist of this label, Henri Caruchet lived in Paris and illustrated many decorative objects including postcards and book jackets.
He was a member of the National Society of Fine Arts and died in 1948. He chose to include Louis Bleriots the XI in this label.
The original Hotel is now demolished but a new Hotel was constructed by the Jardin Montfleury.
