Uncommon first edition of the first book in the West of these two influential Muslim women who lived during the Golden Age of the Abbasid Empire. Nabia Abbot was born to a Christian merchant in Mardin, and lived in Mesopotamia after her graduation. Gertrude Bell contributed to her historical research. She wrote as well a bio graphy of Aishah, Mohammed's favourite wife.
