First edition, flat-signed by the author on front fly-leaf, 'R.G.S. lecture 30. XII, '65' in a different hand underneath, the motto on half-title framed with green ink. The autobiography of the navigator, aviator sailor, and navigational scientist for both aviation and ships. Signed first editions of this title are extremely rare. There was a later limited and signed edition, which can be found.
