Prize binding of King's School Canterbury, half pigskin with pale boards, gilt school crest to front, gilt lettering to spine; pp. viii + 228, 63 illustrations over 23 plates; occasional darkening, very good. Provenance: front pastedown with prize bookplate of Kings School Canterbury. This book was presented to N.J. Gordon Wilson for, somewhat bizarrely, divinity.
Second edition, greatly enlarged from the first edition of 1910 as the author encourages the production of pork as part of the recovery from the recent 'disastrous war'. There are some wonderful photos of now rare breeds.
