Publisher's mid-blue pictorial cloth strikingly blocked in white, black, pink and gilt to spine and upper cover, all edges olivine, preserved in original pictorial dustwrapper; pp. [viii], 9-295; with plates in half-tones by Hodgson; a fine and immaculate copy in all-but as new condition, internally equally fine, crisp and unread, with a City of Sheffield school prize label, dated 1914, to front pastedown endpaper, protected by the rare pictorial lilac dustwrapper with external dust-soiling and rubbing, nicking and edge-creasing, and 2 closed tears to top edge of lower panel (longest 35mm) both expertly repaired to the reverse with archival tissue-tape, and unobtrusive; a raresurvival in the jacket.
