4to. Original printed wrappers; pp. 64, illustrated with black and white photographs and maps; light toning to margins, otherwise very good.
First edition. In August 1940 12 Norwegian young men in a salvation Army hostel decided to continue the fight against the Germans and formed "Norwegian Company Iceland", 6 weeks later the number had gone up to 18 and the Norwegian Army (Iceland) was up and running. The book was published early in 1945, when the Nazi's embarked on the scorched earth tactics in Northern Norway and the author's express their hope to prevent the German 'colossal plan of wilful desctruction' (end of text).
